An exciting evening of opera is coming to Santa Monica, featuring an intimate ensemble concert with special guest artist, internationally acclaimed Met star tenor Rodell Rosel.
The program will showcase a vibrant selection of opera ensembles and scenes, highlighting both dramatic and comedic repertoire performed in collaboration with rising vocal talent, including soprano Agnese Gallenzi.
Gallenzi will appear in a varied program of ensemble works drawn from the operatic canon, offering audiences a chance to experience her artistry in a dynamic chamber setting—blending voices, characters, and styles in an engaging concert format.

After winning the 2nd Prize in 2023, Gallenzi returned competing for NATS and won the 1st Prize for the Gwendolyn Roberts Competition. NATS will finance a Recital occurring in September 2026 - date and location TBD. Stay Tuned!
Sarasota Opera Role Debut & studio artist 2027
Agnese Gallenzi Debuts Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos and Covers Violetta at Sarasota Opera’s 2027 Season.
Agnese Gallenzi is set to make an exciting mark at Sarasota Opera during its highly anticipated 2026–27 season, appearing as a Studio Artist in one of the company’s most dynamic and forward-looking seasons to date.
Gallenzi will debut the role of Echo in Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos**, a sparkling blend of mythological drama and theatrical comedy.
In addition to her featured appearance in Ariadne auf Naxos, Gallenzi will cover the demanding title role of Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata. As one of opera’s most iconic and vocally challenging heroines, Violetta represents a major milestone for any young soprano. Sarasota Opera’s 2027 production of La Traviata anchors the Winter Festival and continues the company’s long-standing commitment to the Italian repertoire.
